“Harry Potter!” When people talk about this, no one will never heard about this name. Yes, this is a series of seven novels written by a British author – J.K Rowling. This series of book is very famous that it was translated to 67 languages. At the time J.K started to write the book, she was just a single mother with a daughter. She even didn’t have work at that time. Long ago, there had been books about magical world that actually exist in the non-magical world, but Harry Potter is the book that could hit the world. The story started with a wizard named Harry Potter who goes to a magical school; there he made two best friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. The main story is talking about how he conquers his biggest enemy Lord Voldemort.
The first series was published in 1997 and the last book was published in 2008. The last book named Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was awarded “Best Book for Young Adults” in the 2008 Colorado Blue Spruce Book Award. I think that it is very difficult to make a book famous for more than ten years. “Harry Potter” is very lucky that it was made into a film; many people love to watch films more than reading books. When this is made into a film, it started to become a very famous book. It is also a trend that when something is a series, the trend will not go straight downward but only at a steady growth.
Although the original version of this story is a novel, I love watching the film too. I think that the film is made very well with all the computer graphic effect. The effect brings us into the world and they are just so realistic. Furthermore, the background of the story happens in London, which is a place that all people are familiar. I think this is one of the reasons for the outstanding of this magical story. The film was so success that it was made into VCDs and DVDs. The film was also being shown on the television.

Fans of Harry Potter
I started to know about the book when I was studying in the secondary school, at that time the book was published to the series three already. Although I read the Chinese version, I just love the story and all characters in the story. I finished reading all the seven books
Every time when the new film of Harry Potter is on the cinema screen, I will go and watch it. I love the magic that in this real world we cannot do. Maybe this is the reason for me to get addicted to this film.

In the above picture, the fans said that she made a tattoo on her neck (though we do not know if this is a real tattoo or not), no matter what, we know that she is a big fans. When she walks on the street, she can also help promote Harry Potter.

In the Universal studio Orlando Florida, there is a corner for Harry Potter named the wizarding world of Harry Potter. The grand opening for the theme park will be on 18th this month. I feel so excited to hear this and I think that I must go there someday. It will be great fun.

The boy on the above picture is wearing a scarf which is one of the uniforms of Harry Potter in the film. The boy is holding a knitting needle to pretend as a “magic stick”. Companies made these products and people will buy them and to wear and even pretend to be the character in film. Companies also made legos and computer games.
